TDS STMEDC01e/1 03/23: medium-viscosity ethyl cyanoacrylate developed for medical use. Bonds PVC, polycarbonate, rubbers, elastomers (PEBA, SEBS), metals, leather and wood. Certified for biocompatibility to ISO 10993-5. Colour clear. Viscosity 100 mPa·s (Brookfield +25 °C, spindle 2, 20 rpm). Specific weight 1.06 g/ml. Gap 10–150 microns. Shelf life 12 months unopened. Fixture times in seconds: PVC 2–10, phenolic resin 2–5, ABS 2–10; steel 5–20, aluminium 2–10, zinc 10–20; NBR, neoprene and SEBS under 5; balsa 2–5, teak 5–20, fabrics 2–20, ceramic 5–30. If setting is slow, the TDS recommends Loxeal Activator 9. On PE, PP, silicone rubber or PTFE it recommends Primer 7. Those choices depend on the substrate, so this page leaves the recommended-primer field empty. After 24 h at +25 °C and 50% RH: tensile strength ISO 6922 is 20 N/mm²; shear ISO 4587 is 18 N/mm² on steel (cohesive failure), 11 N/mm² on PC (substrate failure), and cohesive failure on nylon 6. Strength versus temperature is a graph on steel to ISO 4587. A numeric service range is not printed. The TDS states the adhesive is not approved for pure oxygen or gaseous oxygen. Store cool and dry, not above +20 °C; a refrigerator at +2 to +7 °C extends shelf life. Wait 24–72 hours before full mechanical stress. The sheet does not state a commercial pack size.
